Groups for families
Do you or anyone you know need support?
Our groups are a great way to give your child the opportunity to meet other children, and for you to meet other parents.
We also offer remote activities and support for when you cannot leave the house but would still like the feel of a group setting.

Families with pre-school age children.
What to expect:
- Your children to be provided with a wide variety of fun and educational toys, and the opportunity to socialise with other children in a friendly environment

Healthy Starts is a project that aims to enhance the health and wellbeing of children under the age of 5. The project will change as lockdown restrictions are relaxed, so sign-up to hear about changes to the project here.

Healthy Starts is a project that aims to enhance the health and wellbeing of children under the age of 5, who live in the borough of Barnet.
What to expect:
The Healthy Starts project will offer support for families to promote healthy lifestyles as well as targeted support where children have underlying health concerns that impact on their wellbeing.
At this time, the project is offering this support remotely via a monthly newsletter.
Additional information:
The focus will be on healthy eating, movement, and strength in their bodies; education around correct nutrition; and the importance of eating whole foods.

Parents-to-be and new parents with babies under 1-year old.
What to expect:
This group is led by Caroline, an Antenatal Teacher, and Helen, our Perinatal Co-ordinator.
In this group, you can share your experiences of pregnancy labour, birth and the early months of living with your baby. You can ask questions, found out information, and share your feelings with parents who are going through the same things at the same time.

A specially designed, fantastically fun, fitness programme for pre-school and primary school children conducted weekly by a trained Stretch-n-Grow instructor.
Additional Information:
Our aim is to give children a healthy exercise and nutrition foundation on which to build their future habits, their confidence and their self-esteem.

Cook and bake along with us from your kitchen. Children will love our healthy recipes and getting to play Head Chef.

What to expect:
A guided cook along with our chef, Samina. You will be given the recipe and ingredients list prior to the sessions. During the sessions, Samina will give instructions and help with cooking techniques. The recipes use healthy and seasonal ingredients to create delicious dishes that children and adults will enjoy.
Additional Information:
Children will gain confidence and self-esteem when they create something that other family members can share.
Adjustments can be made for allergies and dietary requirements. Just let us know if you need any substitutions made and we will be happy to help you.

Come on an adventure with us without having to leave the house. It’s all in our imagination, so snuggle up and get ready for story time.

Sharing stories is a beneficial activity for children of all ages. Younger children and babies will enjoy listening to new sounds and words and older children can join in and offer their ideas.

Sing along to all your child’s favourite songs and nursery rhymes, complete with actions and some improvised instruments.

Children (and adults!) of all ages
What to expect:
A fun-filled 30 minutes with David who sings children’s favourite songs and nursery rhymes.
Join in with the actions and the words and meet the animals on Old MacDonald’s Farm, the passengers on the bus, some cheeky monkeys, and a very hungry crocodile.
Additional Information:
Singing songs is a wonderful way to introduce new words and concepts to children. It also supports children’s self-esteem to hear and repeat songs that they are familiar with.
